NISSIN FOODS Group’s Greenhouse Gas Emission Reduction Targets Achieve Science Based Targets (SBT) Initiative Certification
NISSIN FOODS HOLDINGS CO., LTD. (President and Representative Director, CEO: Koki Ando, “the Company”) announced that the greenhouse gas emission reduction targets set by the NISSIN FOODS Group (“the Group”) has achieved certification on April 9, 2020, from the Science Based Targets (SBT) initiative as science-based targets that limit the average rise in global temperatures to well-below 2°C above pre-industrial levels aligned with the Paris Agreement *1.

Environmental problems on a global scale are becoming more apparent in recent years. Under such circumstances, the Group has positioned measures against climate change as one of its top-priority issues and is undertaking initiatives such as promoting energy-saving programs and improving the rate of renewable energy use.
The Group will continue to fulfill its responsibility toward realizing a sustainable society by actively reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
*1 The Paris Agreement is a multinational agreement regarding the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions that was adopted at the 21st Session of the Conference of the Parties (COP21) of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change held in Paris in 2015.

About the Science Based Targets (SBT) initiative
